YACE

YACE is a service which offers Employment Counselling and Job Search assistance to young adults between 16-29 years of age.

YACE can help you:

  • Prepare a resume for job search
  • Learn presentation and job search skills
  • Learn how to prepare for an interview
  • How to maintain a job

YACE provides:

  • Job Finding Clubs
  • One-to-one counselling to aid in the development of a career plan
  • Information and referrals to training programs
  • Labour market information

YACE has:

  • Computerized job listings with current job openings
  • Public computer access for letter writing and other correspondance
  • A photocopier for copying purposes

JOB FINDING CLUBS

  • Learn effective techniques on how to find work
  • Prepare an effective resume
  • Enhance your interview skills
  • Identify and approach employers with confidence
  • Learn how to access the "hidden job market"
  • Deciding on occupational goals
  • Learn how to make "cold calls"
Workshops are 2 weeks in duration,
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m,
and are held on an as needed basis.
